Default Turbo lq9

So I've had the truck a little over 3 years now as a daily back and forth to work. Couple months back my 6 year old decided we needed a race truck and how could i say no. So we pulled the 4.8 out of it with close to 300k on it and set it aside to do a 6.0 swap. We started with a lq9 out of a 03 Escalade threw a 228r cam I got from a buddy ls7 lifters ls9 gaskets some studs and the valvetrain goods. It was fun for a street truck but now I have somehow acquired a s475 so the question is stick with the lq9?

Depends on lbs boost. Not ideal for high boost at all but it could work on street boost just fine.

I was thinking around 13lbs I have a 44mm tial and a 50mm b.o.v and was thinking about a 5.3 or a lq4 for better compression with the turbo?

317 heads? Hit that bitch. Keep it intercooled, run e85 if you have it and make 700. Only thing stopping you is fuel.

Agreed E85 or meth or both but I wouldn't change the sb because of 10.0 compression. Should run hard and have some low end too.
Oh also talk to someone like Rob about cam specs. You could bleed off some compression if you need to.

Yeah e85 is the plan theres quite a few places around me that sell it and the injectors are for e85 as well. Havent really thought about meth atm

I would pick e85 over meth for reliability, ease of use and cost. IMO

My 370 is 10-1 and it works fine. 93 and meth now, soon to be E85 and meth.
