Getting ready to drill a hole in my pan for turbo drain. What size are most of y'all running and are y'all welding them or regular bulkhead fitting?

 

Most smaller/medium turbos will be fine with 3/8-1/2npt, for larger frame turbos and bigger drain lines I'll use 3/4"npt and a 12an line... and it doesn't hurt anything to run a larger drain anyways! So my advice is run a 3/4"npt and 12an line!

 

i use 1/2npt or weld on a -10an. never any problems but maybe im lucky.

 

-10AN here and no problems on T76

 

-10 AN with 1/2" npt fitting on front of oil pan below the crank pulley. I drilled and tapped the oil pan and ran the fitting in. Been like that for a couple thousand miles and hasn't leaked at all.

 

I used 1/2" npt and 5/8" nice hose.

 

3/8npt X 5/8 hose barb is sent out with all our kits.
Except large frame BB T6 builds. They get 12.

 

I had to go up to a 12AN. Just make sure to drill above the oil level and try to route the line as straight as possible.
