Default turbo to downpipe seal

I just put a new v band clamp on my turbo to downpipe and i can feel some air coming out of it. Is any air coming out normal or should there be no air. Im not sure if it sid that before or not. Is there a seal or gasket i can put between the two to help seal better?

It can be normal if it is just regular cheap flanges that don't have registers.

This is the sole reason I only buy racepart solutions vbands. they have locating registers that overlap and keep everything straight and square. They are also machined for an oring for cold side piping.

It's a vibrant brand so I guess it's a cheapo. It lined up the two flanges good and snug but just getting a little air coming out of it

If still doing after heated up.
Just apply a small amount of rtv to the mated surfaces.
Reclamp. Wait then try again.

You will want to use the male/female vbands, they have a little groove in them to seal better. You dont want any leaks, it will throw off your wideband sensor readings.
