I've been searching for an oil tube for days. They keep saying the 07 will not work with my 09, which doesn't make sense. Dorman makes a couple but for the life of me can't find one that is described as 2009
Rick said it doesn't make too big of a difference. Sometime in the next year in going to pull everything off and have it ceramic coated as well.

The dipstick I bought from autozone won't fit in the hole in the block. I'll have to go to the dealer.

Well everything is in and the kit is running well. My tuner and I are having some issues with a lean spike that hits constantly about 2-2.5 seconds after boost hits. It spikes up almost a point and back down. He put a rich tune on it to counter it for now but it is still doing it. So far I have unhooked the PCV system with no change.

I also adjusted some of the cold side piping and retightend all the clamps, not sure if I had a boost leak during tuning but now I am very lean. 12-13 in boost so I haven't really gotten on it at all since this happened yesterday.

It's very frustrating to work so hard and not be able to enjoy it because of these issues. I know they will get worked out though. I have to meet with the tuner again in the next few weeks.

Keep on it man. It'll be worth it when you do your first 0-130 pull.

There are always snags in the road... this one will get ironed out.

How are the rest of the sensors reading? Any wierd spikes in boost? MAF reading constant?

Everything else is solid. There is nothing else in the logs that show there is an issue. I'm going back down on Tuesday morning for some more tuning so we will see.

As far as the lean spike, it looks like it is a common issue. I have found many threads where guys are having the same lean spike 2.1 seconds after PE is commanded. There is something in the ecm no one knows about that is pulling fuel. The only constant seems to be ID injectors or their data being used in E38 ecms.

I bought a nice little boost leak tester, so I will check for leaks tomorrow and I think I am going to put the 10.5# springs in before I get more tuning done on Tuesday.

Tuning is coming along! Finally have the WOT part squared away, although it is a tad rich. It still spikes a little part throttle which we are trying to figure out. We are going to try some more tuning with a 2 bar map sensor.

This California gas is killing the timing though. It's pinging at about 12*. It definitely has more in it and this is only on 7.5 lbs.

You can actually hear it ping on the shift in the first video.

I can't hear anything in the video, if the knock sensors are picking up some knock up top it might need more fuel or pull another degree of timing and run 11 up top.
