Basically only street driven. I’m going to pretend you didn’t tell me stage 3 is too big and then proceed to spec me out basically a similar cam to the TXSpeed one I was talking about lol

I will take a gander at that summit one though, I’m guessing it is good for boost? I have the stage 2 truck cam from TXSpeed the 212/218 low lift. Just thinking I can get away with something bigger with some more chop. Decided I want some more

What kind of power is that truck making? I just have a 6.0 not a 370. Goal is to generally be able to whoop some regular car *** and laugh while doing it. Like I said 5-600 if possible.

You can get 5-600 with the 212/218 cam you have. I hope you have a 4L80E, because a 4L60E is going to cry at those HP levels in a heavy truck. I have a Comp Cams 212/218 with something like .525" lift and it's great for street driving and towing, lots of low end torque. I wish it had more lift, but drive my truck a lot and didn't want to change valve springs regularly for a .600"+ lift cam. Torque peak is ~4800 rpm, not sure if its the cam or running out of hot side flow through the turbine, but it's done making power ~5800. Unless you plan to get a loose torque convertor, the 212/218 is not a bad choice and can save you money on your build for now.

A stage 3 is not too big for a street 6L, in fact I would say it's about perfect. I think the cast 78/75 turbo is small for a 6L if you were racing it. However, that's what makes it spool so fast which is great on the street. The only change I would have made in my build is to swap in a 78/75 billet Gen 2. If I ever break the cast 78/75 Gen 1, the 78/75 billet Gen 2 is going on. Guys make crazy power on YouTube with those Gen 2's.

Yeah I have decided about leaving the cam until later on way after turbo. No I have the 4L60e and won’t be doing a 4l80e.
Agreed with stage 3 stuff, just chose stage 2 when I was first building cause didn’t wanna regret going too big if I did.
Rick had told me to leave off the billet turbo and just get the cast and put the money elsewhere

I guess I was looking at their ls1/ls2 stage 3 turbo cam and not the 4.8/5.3 cam sorry.Dont have any dyno numbers on that specific combo. Its a lifted k25 on 35s and it will easily haze the tires from a 30 roll and is fast enough you have to lift because you get scared of the 80s suspension and steering. The combo you are proposing will easily make 5-600 whp minus the 4l60e taking that abuse.

Yes it is. I had it rebuilt about 30k miles ago? Maybe less that seems like a lot, somewhere between 15-30k lol I know it was June, 2019

I was planning on just breaking it first before fixing it. Wasn’t going to take it apart and rebuild it until after the turbo executes it
