I will have my 01 cam setup for sale here in couple off weeks when I do my motor swap. 01 LS6 cam and yellow springs, retainers, and locks (which I recommend replacing new locks everytime you change the springs). Nice thing you can use the stock push rod on the 01's.

I went to home depot and got 5/16" wooden dowl rods and cut two pieces in the length of the cam. Just push one rod through one of the holes at a time (like ls1howto tells ya) and rotate the cam as you do. Doing this keep the lifters up off the cam. I seen ppl do the russian roulete on a lower mileage engine, but I would not chance it. Also seen ppl buy 16 magnic pens and use those to holder thse lifter ups through the pushrod holes. Need any help let me/US know.
