Default Turbo build. What order should i go about this?

I'm about to buy a 99-06 rcsb 4x4. The one I'm planning on is a 4.8, but I will either get a 4.8 or 5.3. I'm wanting to build a lowered awd 4l80e 76 mm turbo truck, the problem is what to do first.

1. Buy the truck, kb or trick 76mm intercooled kit, injectors, fuel pump, wide band, new exhaust, everything needed to run it on 8-10 psi right now. Save up again for a 4l80 and nvg149 transfer case and do that later, along with lowering and wheels after that.

2. Buy the truck and a 4l80e and nvg149 now, then save for the turbo and lowering kit and wheels in that order.

3. Buy the truck, lower it, nice wheels, basically make it all show now, turbo/tranny later.

I know logic says build the tranny first because the 60 won't last behind the turbo. The problem is I have problems saving over $1000. I always find something I "need" before I have the cash saved up to buy a turbo. If i do go option one if the tranny blows sooner than later I do have a backup vehicle to drive and can always get a little loan to get a tranny.

I'm leaning towards option one just because I see this as the most likely way to get me into a turbo without a loan anytime soon.

Opinions?

I thought of another option and that's the way I'm leaning now. Tranny/transfer case and a nitrous kit right now. Use the nitrous to spool the turbo after I save up for that.

Anyone have opinions?

Nitrous is a quick and dirty way to get power... Kit is inexpensive, but n2o will add up. Only had it on my truck for like a week now, and just a few hits went through over half a $40 bottle. I don't know how the n2o-only guys put up with it. lol

Trans and transfer case definitely first though. Before that even, I would swap out the stock G80 for something more durable.

Trans should come first, but the 60E will last if you can keep your right foot relatively light, while you save for the trans. I too have issues saving up money, so I'm using it to my advantage and buying all of the little parts needed, which will encourage me to buy the bigger things later to complete the build.

Yeah, I haven't even got the truck yet so I don't know exactly what I will be working with. 4.8 or 5.3, g80 or open. Who knows. Also I don't know what gears the truck will have. I know the turbo will like 3.42s or so but how about nitrous?

Nitrous can run lower gearing because you don't have to load up the engine for any amount of time to use it.

If it were me, id go with a good differiential like a eaton LSD or trutrac.
Then go with the 80E, then the power adders.

That way you can fix your weak points then move forward.

You're saying lower numerically correct? I have always hated how gearing is confusing like that.

Lol no I meant the other way, like 4.10s low, not 3.42 numerically low
