Shortening stock shaft+yoke+1 bastard joint = $175
Trading some parts for new shaft. New yoke, 2 bastard joints, shortening and balance = $205
Total investment = $380+ for a driveshaft

If I would have had a custom shaft made to start with = ~$350-$400

Stock shaft causes destruction of trans cost = ~$2000
Extra $ wasted on shaft .....................................$30+
Total expense cost for cutting corners to start with=$2030+
Showing how big of a dumb *** you are trying to save $175 = PRICELESS!

At least I have a Matercard!

Damn I guess Ill go ahead and buy a good d-shaft before I run the **** out of the truck when I get it back up and running.

Having an ex-cab you may need to consider a 2-piece or call Denny's and get their recommendations.
