Default turbo in bed with tonneau cover?

hey i have a turbo 5.3 s10 with a T76 mounted in the bed and i ran out of room to put the intake for the turbo under the bed as originally planned. i want to use a tonneau cover because i dont feel safe parking it in ghetto neighborhoods with thousands of dollors of merchandise in my bed. i was wondering if it would be ok for the intake to be placed under the tonneau cover? or do you think it would starve to turbo for air? i want to get things figured out before i finish up the welding

I know the bed cover on my S10 is far from airtight, plus the hole you would need to make for the hot and cold sides of the turbo will be big enough to let the turbo breathe.

I have seen a couple of other remote mounts done on the S10 and they used bed covers with no issue.
