Default Tune for tvs1900

I'm getting ready to install a tvs1900 on my 02 2500hd. I currently have a Nelson tune. I've been pleased with Nelson was planning on sending my ecm back to them for tuning. I noticed the autocal on Black bear performance. Wondering if this would be a better route do to being able to make changes quicker, without having to send ecm back and forth. I do have 2 ecms so the truck wouldn't be down unless the adjustment to the tune was that critical. Thanks for any input.

I have no personal knowledge but I know there are those that are very displeased with some of his tunes. Take that with a grain of salt though because there are always detractors. I know there are 2 or 3 I would prefer for FI for what its worth. Nelson, Atomic, Frost...

If you want to wait a week for a reply or maybe even 2 weeks for a new calibration then for sure look into blackbear.

Seen it countless times where the turn around is not quick at all. I for one couldn't stand that, that is way too long to get adjustments done and because you have to send in 1-2 logs at a time it could take a long long time to fully tune a forced induction application.

If someone was doing it in person or remote tuning it, the 2-5 hours it could take to fully tune would be a way better option.

Remote tuning? Didn't know about it. Who does it? Tell me more. I would love to have it dyno tuned but can't find anyone local.

Found a local tuner to dyno tune it. Thinking about going ahead and doing a cam, springs and lifter etc. With a pulley change to get to 8.5-9 psi. At this level would head porting be a big help or not so much?

I had blackbear with efi live auto cal, it was a good service but at times when they are busy or away i took 2 weeks at a time to get a new tune. What i started doing was before i made changes have him change the tune, atleast then it was closer for me to drive it. After awhile it drove me nuts so i sold it. A few guys on here do it with hp tuners and it seems alot betterbut takes time to get it perfect. A dyno tune tho if they do drive ability could make it once and done for you. A buddy of mine had his done that way and its pretty decent. Heads would help but i'm not sure how much with only doing 9 psi. Prob have em shaved to bump the compression up some too, would get a more throttle response doing that.

Would shaving the heads be a good idea if I end up going with more boost later? I got my cam ordered, it's pretty close to what you put in yours. 218/232 112.5+3.5 .578/.578.
