Cobalt SS has the factory 2 bar, most local parts dealers should have that will work and a lot of people recommend. I haven't read anyone needing a 3 bar for the psi you're going for.

If he says you need a 3bar you need to back away slowly and find someone else. You don't want to throw 15+psi at it just yet...

I think the 3 bar was for my dashlogic to be able to read boost. Since i am not useing a gauge. You guys are going to give me a heart attack i am already worried its going to blow up. I do have a gm performance cam in the truck. My plan is 10lbs boost. From what i have read that should be safe enough. I grabbed a corvette map from chevy for $22. Thanks for helping guys ill keep you updated.

So when you want to go over 15psi, you'll have to buy a new sensor and re-calibrate it. Just buy a 3 bar map and be done with it.

I also wonder why are you so hung up on 10psi? The person tuning the car should set the boost around the limitations of fuel, ignition, heat exchangers, etc etc. Not the other way around.

Not set on 10psi but from what others have done i am guessing that is were ill want to be. Betting it puts me close to 450hp and thats the least i will be happy with. If i can run 13lbs and make more hp and not feel like im destroying my tranny then its just a bonus. We should know by the end of the day what psi and hp ill be at.

What were your results? I made 540whp on a stock motor at 12psi so it is possible.

As for a review on the kit. In general I think the kit was fairly simple to install. The hot pipes all went together perfectly. The intercooler and cold pipes all fit perfectly. The oil cooler block needs to come with different fittings. The ones supplied did not work well I only have about a 1/4" of clearance from drive line even after flipping the block. This only applies to 4x4 trucks. Not a big deal. Oil return hose was to short but I think it's intended to run to the front left corner of the oil pan. I put mine on the right to stay further away from the belt so needed a little more line. One piece of cold piping had to be returned do to unfinished weld. Have to say best customer service I ever had with getting the replacement sent out. It was boxed and shipped within a couple hours of notifying Trick Performance. Was also missing the oil feed block. Same great customer service it shipped out right away and made sure i had it the day before my tune appointment. No written instructions came with the kit but not really needed. With all the information on this site you can figure everything out. I also bombarded Trick with text messages and always recived a response usually within minutes. Aesthetically the kit looks great the only thing i would change is the placement of the MAF sensor (not sure if it has to be where it is for some reason) it would look cleaner if it was on the back or bottom of the pipe so you can't see it. The A/C lines suck to move around but they do move and get the necessary clearance. If I can find someone around here that does custom lines ill probably reroute them. There was also no parts list. I think a detailed parts list would be a must with each kit. Make it alot easier for guys like me with no turbo experience to make sure all parts are present.

quality of kit A+
ease of installation A+ (considering all the help from Trick Performance and forum)
Aesthetics A ( no plus cause i dont like seeing the MAF just my opinion )
Customer service A+++ (can't be beat )

functionality who knows still waiting on the tuner!
