The P-1SC and P-1SC-1 are two different head units. The P-1SC and D-1SC have a 6.25" impellers but the P-1SC-1 has a 5.25" impeller and can't be swapped out for the larger D-1SC impeller. The Corvette forum link shows a P-1SC-1 on the right of a D-1SC impeller.

I have no idea why Procharger even bothered with the P-1SC-1 or the P-1SC-2 models. They are hardly used in any kits and both flow the same as the P-1SC (1200 cfm).

mind if you share some more details of your setup, i see stock engine? how many lbs. and what are you doing for fuel? That shows that turbos/superchargers really are equal for durability if treated right lol.

Yes but I have a p1sc so a d1 wheel will work on my blower in question.

I need to come up with a d1 wheel. Still trying to track down a valve with more psi spring

I wasn't disagreeing with you. I'm positive you can swap out a D-1SC impeller. I was just trying to explain the differences between the different Procharger head units and that the SCR P-1SC Stage 2 is not in the same league as a D-1SC impeller.

It would be great to see someone run them back-to-back and chart the results.

Any chance there could be a crack somewhere in the case that is opening up during boost? Second thought was to try another seal. I know it sucks to have to buy another one but it would rule it out.

This is the kit I believe that you sold to a guy in GA( I think), then was sold to me, never was taking out of the box.. As for the case being cracked, def not. It is for sure 10000% coming out of that shaft seal.. I know again 1000% that that seal that went in went in perfect, we even made a sleeve from aluminum, that actually over lapped the shaft where it is made to slide, seat on. So there was no cahce it could have rolled or been nicked up.. I did that valve yesterday, it did work, however it did puke a little bit of fluid out of the valve/breather. I am going to try and find one with a little more psi spring in it... Other wise I am just going to have and live with it. I refuse to blow 500+ at procharger, have the same thing happen. Seems it has always done this, PC says hey thats kinda normal I would like to find a D1 wheel, but they are just not out there..

I thought you had bought one of my old P-1SC's a long time ago.

Sounds like you made a seal install tool so I bet it seated just it fine. Lord knows I've used numerous large sockets over the years without a hitch.

How about running a vacuum hose from the "vent" to a catch can that sees manifold vacuum (basically a catch can without a breather)? You could always run the vacuum hose directly to the intake mainfold (like a PCV). You would have to monitor the oil level so you could keep track of the oil usage.

I have thought about a catch can of some sort, that sits higher then the blower, will allow excess oil to go into it, then after it cools or pressure go's down in the head unit, it drains back into the unit.. If procharger put a freaking baffle inside the head unit, where that 5/16 bolt screws in to the top, the vent I have would work perfect, as it would stop the oil from blowing up the hole, just let pressure out...

The seal beater oner LOL

The collar that goes in the seal, to open it up, were talking 1kth bigger then the shaft on the blower. Notice the little lip, that actually goes over the blower impeller shaft.
