My DI cadiliac CTS does about the same. Also make sure to run some fuel injector cleaner through the tank often. Like every 6-8k. I change my oil every 6k and i just got in the habit of buying some fuel injector cleaner when i buy the oil and filter. I can always tell a difference after it.

Built a few already. But the trucks where in our shop.
We have a manifold fixture, and sell manifold only.
For use to build the complete hot pipe set we need a mock up engine or a truck sitting here.

Well since you've worked on a few of these engines then, I have a 2016 5.3 question for you. Is there any way to get vacuum from one of these motors if you ditch the factory vacuum pump? I'm retro-fitting one in a 70 c10, and I had to ditch it to make room for a power steering pump.

Have not done any swap just built a few turbo kits.

The trucks we have done on the driver side mid way is where we pulled vacuum from.

It must just be me, but I don't think that's bad at all. It's nice to catch it and not have it go in the intake though.
