Default Torqstorm users step inside

Looking for some feed back from actual users. Ive searched the forum and google for some reviews from truck guys but have found very few. The dyno sheets I have seen show good gains but how is it on the street, how does it tow, hows the low end gain? Yes I realize its a centri blower and its all rpm based boost but looking for a good street truck that I can tow my race car with. Truck is an 86 single cab chevy dually with an 04 6.0 and 4L80, isky 3x12 that I had from my turbo 5.3 race car, long tubes, milled 317s. It’s got plenty of grunt now just want more.

from what I understand, I believe it’s a rebranded “powerdyne” setup. I would pass.. but that’s my .02

I believe it's not the same animal anymore though. I haven't heard anything bad about them and the warranty I thought was great. I'm not into centri's but I don't really see it as a bad choice. Of course I much prefer PD. However I will be going turbo in the future again.

For what you have described as your needs a PD blower would better suit your needs. They make the truck act more like a diesel performance wise down low to get things moving along.

So I pulled the trigger and bought a torqstorm kit. I am super pleased with how well the kit fits and the quality of everything. I am currently finishing up the intercooler plumbing and will have results soon. I ended up having to get a smaller radiator to fit the pipes through the core support where I wanted.

Yea I got it done finally. Still dont have any dyno results yet but is definitely a huge improvement. Id guess it makes around the 450-500 tire mark. It makes about 8#s at 6400 rpm. Its making 2#s by 2800 rpm so its got plenty of low end which I was worried about being a centrifugal. Got a little bit of wiring stuff to finish up and itll be ready for the dyno.
