Since it's a cable, or wire, that controls the tb in the pics on umi's site I would call that a dbw or manual tb. But when you say "drive by wire" you mean an electronic controlled tb.. right?

The UMI throttleboby is for a cable only,my Tahoe was origially drive by wire,I replaced pedal and added a cable some time ago.I hope that eliminates some confusion.

So you must consider the cable drive superior to the electronic. What is better about the cable. Thanks, Jim

The one thing I like about a cable operated throttle is that my right foot controls it not the PCM.Actually the throttlebodies on our trucks don't lend themselves to modifacation. It's easier to add a cable than deal with PCM generated codes and reduced power modes.

A 90mm did make a difference of 30 to 50 rwhp on a setup that was maxed out, added about a 1 1/2 boost and additional airflow to the motor.I got that with the FAST at the cost of drivability, but the UMI restored the drivability.I'm just saying that the UMI is easier to live with and worth the difference in money to me and I have a FAST throttlebody for sale,CHEAP.
