And they said it wouldnt fit....5" DP

I added another jgs40 when I went with the Borg Warner on mine. Lets me go down to 8 psi with the 7 psi springs in each gate. Plus I think one more small one would be alot cheaper than a big 60mm

Well some results....I made a little dump pipe to a spare flange I bought to point the exhaust away from the transfercase. With the cutout not blocked off it is very loud and very deep and rattles every single panel of metal and plastic on the truck
Its also impossible to control boost. With the cutout open I cant give it more than half throttle without going 20+ psi with the wastegate fully open. I think I hit 26psi the first time I put the pedal down for a second, so thats no beuno. I blocked the cutout back and managed to keep it around 18psi with the 6psi spring and boost referenced to the bottom port of the gate. With the cutout blocked it has to flow through the 4" system.
At the same boost level, between the cutout being open and closed, its about a 200hp difference. So I would definitely say it helps
I am going to have to put on a bigger wastegate to try to control the boost at least down to 10psi or so.

Naah just seems a little small to me, but the 3" core I/c prob keeps it from getting too much air anyway lol.
I wonder if those cutouts cause a turbulance in the pipe when closed. Being a flow minded person I have always wondered about that...

200hp difference?
Route 5" all the way back.
Installing a larger gate like a 66mm would require reworking the piping.
Might be easier to install a 2nd gate with its own muffler.
