Great to see this thread is still kicking ... Few proud rear mount guys out there... I have been making a few changes over the last few weeks with my truck Its about time to go do a Little testing before the LS1Truck shootout .... The only thing i dont see you guys talk about is Header/exhaust wrap.... My truck is more of a Mid-mount.... I use 3 X 50 foot rolls in a 12 foot span and its cheap.. get it off ebay... DEI wrap is like 40.00 for two big rolls.. And its time for me to Turn up the wick

 

I have my exhaust wrapped from the manifolds back and a turbo blanket. It does really help spool time especially once you do one pull and get everything nice and hot. I don't know how much longer I will be a rear mount but it has been good to me for over two years and I had one on my TA back in 2004.
