Default Are there any STS guys left?

Am I the only one left rockin the STS kit on a truck? Now that Spoolin is selling his kit it seems like there isn't anybody left. One of these days I'm going to have to switch to a front mount but I love the sound of the STS kit too much.

My oil pump isn't a STS pump and so it's quieter than my fuel pumps.LOL

Can you still hear the turbo while it's not spooled up on a front mount? I love the way you can hear the turbo whistle at part throttle with the STS.

you could hear my 70mm up front loud and clear, esp with an open cutout at the end of the downpipe, basically the same amount of pipe as an STS after the turbo LOL... except its mounted in the right place

there are enough threads on front vs rear to fill the Gulf of Mexico.... maybe the Atlantic... LOL the general answer will be 1. less piping on both sides 2. return oil pump reliability 3. spool times?? but 1 and 3 are both a preference thing... 2 seems to be a luck thing... front mounting it eleminates 1 and 2, turbo sizing eliminates 3 (for both)

back pressure. I think wilde said his front mount at 6psi felt like the sts at 12 psi. Thats something to think about.....

good point, and often overlooked. I believe this is because the turbos and exhaust housings are generally a bit undersized for rear mount setups trying to help lag/spool time...
