Default T76 front mount-or- kenne bell 2.8L?

I just picked up a 2003 RC, 4x4. I have a 6.0 that I built for another truck I want to swap in. Im torn between a TRICK front mount turbo kit with a T76, and the nelson air to air intercooler, or the Kenne bell 2.8L. also have a built 4l80e. I don't care about peek HP numbers, all I care about is how it runns at the track. I would like to make this thing run at least 11.50's at our 6000'elevation track. Im worried about belt slippage, and crank snout problems with the KB, and worried that the turbo is going to be trickey to launch. I want at least mid 1.5 60 foots. My 70 chevy K20 4x4 weighs about the same as ths truck with 660fwhp, and 690fwtq now runns 11.30's(sea level) with a 1.54 60'. The Na big block makes peak torque @3900 RPM, and is in the 600's by 2500RPM. I want the boosted 6.0l make about the same power, but at this elevation. My 70 only runns 12.teens up hear, with a 1.69 60. Let me know what you guy's think so I can get something orderd before I spend the money. Thanks, J

Get the turbo and a bigger stall and you'll be fine.

Why do you think the turbo will be tricky to launch? If anything it will be easier since you can set what boost you want to leave at etc. If it's between those two, I would go for the turbo. Just gives you a lot more options overall.

Alot of guys from what I see end up needing to run a 75 shot with blowers to make up for the heat they produce at really high levels of boost on the quickest trucks. Turbos have more top end for better mph in many cases. I think both are fine products (KB and Trick). I'm not an expert, just read about alot of different setups on Chevys and Fords. I vote turbo for sure especially at high elev. but either would probably get you there.

Turbo...
Thinking your gonna need to play with boost levels to get 11.5's and the turbo will let you do that alot easier with more versatility.

I've tried the KB for several years. I would go with a properly sized turbo.

Thanks for the input guys. Looks like the turbo is the way to go. I talked with rick @ TRICK and liked what he had to say so it looks like IM about 90% turbo as of now. Has any one ran fast with a KB on one of these trucks? I have seen some fast lightnings, & cobras with the whipples, and KB's but don't see any on the GM trucks. Is the T76 .96 AR about the right size for my application? I would like to get a few different EX housings and test them at the track.
