a precision pt70 is rated at 820 crank, garrett gr42R-70t is 850 rated, a turbonetics tc70 is rated for 850. The garret is around $1200, the turbnetics is around $1000 for a p-trim (non-bb - 1300ish for bb), I don't know the precision pricing for that model (pt70).

the STS "GT70" runs about $1100 an is rated to 750-800, although I had mine up to ~850 (hit 600 on a mustang AWD dyno at 5300rpm and had to lift because the engine was on stuff on fire). It was definitely over cranked at 14psi with the 408 (98* ambient if memory serves).

(good call Jim )

hey erik. put some $$ signs in there if you could.

mp70 is good for 600rwhp on a 5.3. prety sure the precision gts 70's would be good for over 700rwhp on the same motor but they cost more than twice as much.

There have been a few guys that theturboforums that have had good results with these units. It is a toss up as to the quality though. There was a guy here recently who couldnt make his eBay GT45 make more that 4psi, but I never heard if he found a problem or if it was the turbo. That T70 is not actually a T70 though, it is more like a 62-1 if you look at the specs.

That is a 60mm turbo. Way to small to make any real power, plus the ebay turbos are good for only being paper weights. The units are not balanced, they use standard shaft threading and the wheels are not even HIP'ed....etc..etc.

For the money the Pt70 or the TC70 are the best. The TC70 does have the 1 year no questions asked warranty which is very nice.
