Default Surge tank setup

I'm thinking about doing a surge tank set-up with dual 255 in-tank pumps to feed a built 370 with s475 turbo. I have some ideas of how to do it but was wondering what a few of the experts thoughts were. I may mount it in a tool box in the bed then have a return/overflow line going back to the main tank. One of my biggest concerns is how big do you think that line would have to be to make sure it doesn't overflow out of the vent under normal driving? Another question I have is what size supply and return lines do you think I would need to feed the rails, would -8 be enough to feed with a -6 return. Thanks for any help.

I am making one. It will have stock-size feed and return from the main tank. The vent will be a 3/4" pipe thread size vent with a gasoline proof check valve and a valve cover breather for an inlet filter. MagnaFuel preaches that a vent must be big enough. The check only lets air into the tank.
I think -8AN out and -6 back will be plenty.

Could you tell me where you are getting that check valve and maybe include a part number???

McMaster-Carr part number 5492K54. Polypropylene body, for oil and diesel fuel—fluoroelastomer seal. The OD of the body fits perfectly inside the valve cover breather that I got at my local high-performance shop.

Are you going to run your return to the surge tank or your main tank?

I am going to send the return back to the surge tank. I think this is the best bet to keep it full.
