superchargin '12 3500 6.0 work truck

hey guys. i got a charged camaro but thats a whole other ball game...was wondering what to do with my new work truck. totally diff application i guess.
The truck may be idling for some extended periods of time fairly often. would definitely keep it off more if charged. she'll be in some serious mud and snow etc half the time and highway the other half. summer temps will be upwards to 90 degrees for a few days and winter -40 (well maybe not anymore with all my contributions to global warming
). was wondering if i wake this thing up with a nice maggie or something and some long tubes will i be killing it in the long run and wasting my money? anyone have any experience with this? thanks!

Its possible and would be great to put a maggie on it but first off tuning is VERY limited. A few months back I Procharged a 2011 Silverado 3500 welding truck (Idles 24/7 and always in the mud when out on location) and it runs great its a single cab dually 4x4. Biggest issue with the installation was I had to get new charge pipes bent as the 3500s frame and layout is a little different then the 1500s which what the kit was originally intended for. Getting back to the tuning part I had my buddy tune it with HP Tuners and right now they are very limited on what you can tune on the truck. I haven't checked back recently but I want to say its still the same. The new gas trucks use the new E68 ECM so my guess is its still too new. Im not sure about the other tuning softwares out there so maybe someone else can chime in for them. I will say this tho the new ECMs are smart as hell before we took it to my buddies for a tune we put bigger 52 lb injectors and hooked up the Procharger and the computer compensated for just about everything. It still needs a full tune just waiting on the updates but so far like I said truck runs great and yours should too. With a maggie it will def give you some good usable torque...

as far as idling and all the rest it shouldnt or wouldnt be any different then mine and i have no issues...100+ heat down here in texas with under hood temps being 160 doesnt matter at all while idling. as far as mud or snow...you wouldnt want to see my truck right now cause you couldnt guess the color from the mud....wash it off and go on about my day

north of edmonton a couple hours. I just need to find a kit that will fit a 3500 without any modifications. I never thought it would matter much but I guess some of the brackets for lines and hardware and cooler will be off a bit due to frame like you said. i think edelbrock is comin out with an e-force soon for the 6.0L. and since i already have one in my camaro and both vehicles are the same color, that would be kinda cool i guess.
