Have you compared the power of a stock truck at 3000 rpm vs a centri truck at same RPM? There's not much difference. Compare the stock truck vs a Maggie or other PD blown truck at 3000 rpm. Big difference. How much time do you spend over 3000rpm? IF having more power in an RPM band that you actually use isn't an issue, the hair dryer blower is exactly what you need. It's cheaper too.

Ummm....there was a big difference at 3000 rpm after I put the blower on! Most people that put a stall on their truck will put at least a 2800 stall or higher, and that's where the centri starts to shine.

You still put a load on the blower at 3k, so under load it will make boost, which will make it faster or more powerful then a stock truck with the same converter.. Will it make as much power as a roots style blower at part throttle, prob not, but when your WOT, they just do not stop pulling.. I would love to see a truck with a tvs, and a D1 with the same mods have it out..

I would too. If the TVS had 10 psi from 2500 rpm on up and the D1 started making boost at 2500 rpm and peaked at 10psi/6000rpm, I'd bet heavy on the TVS.

It seems like people that switch from the 112 to the tvs 1900 drop .3 off of their quarter mile time. If you take Most Hated's 112+100 shot times and subtract .3, they still don't come close to his D1 times with no spray.

Yes but the procharger is doing it more efficiently.. The tvs would prob jump out, but would get reeled back in.. Any takers on this???

I don't see better 60's from TVS's and yes they run stalls also.

The TVS wouldn't jump out if the D1 was done properly.

Either one will want a transmission, correct, anyone, good, we all agree.

If you do a transmission and you are going to be racing you do a high stall, anyone.......... yes, correct.

I would race any TVS out of the hole, on the track or street. My 60' on street tires is 1.68, nothing wrong with that out of the hole. Again, street tires is the key there. And oh yeah, lets not forget which blower will fall on it's face once things start getting interesting and in higher RPM's. Hint, it's not the Procharger.
