Default Stuck at 7psi

I just went from a 3.2" pulley to a 2.9, and I only gained about 1psi of boost. What do I do now? I am really wanting to get up around 9. Time for a 2300 or a turbo now I guess...

You could go 8 rib and run a 8" OD balacer and gain a bit more..or yeah 2300..seems like a 1900 should make more than 7-8lbs ?? on a 370 hmmm........

I just don't want to spend a ton of money just to try and spin this thing so fast that it just turns into a heat pump if you know what I mean.

you are probably getting belt slip if you only gained 1lb with a drop that size.

I am not hearing any squeal, and there really isn't any belt residue around the pulley, shouldn't I hear it?

Thanks, I think I'll get ahold of him monday. BTW, are you running a front drive, or a jackshaft 2300? How many psi are you running with yours?

If you want you can call him anytime. He works pretty much 7 days a week and will answer.

I'm running a front drive. With a 2.8 pulley I have 15 psi. I'm also running an innovators 10% overdrive pulley.

Just how much boost can a stock 5.3 take with no issues?
