My XD-1 WB says, Don't put the sensor before the turbo. The increase in back pressure can damage the 02 sensor. No one on here has said anything about the OE 02 going bad with an STS on. So why would it hurt this one?
In the next month when I get my dyno tune I will have my WB before cat and the dyno's WB after cat, then after STS. So we will see what difference I get.

WB and NB sensors work differently. Don't remember exactly how, but NB are ignored during WOT and boost anyway.

I've always wondered the accuracy of my NB's while doing my part throttle and crusing tuning. I wonder if I'm just wasting my time using them?

Cool

This is what the manual for the LM-1 says:
"On TURBO CHARGED vehicles:
Bung: Install the bung downstream from the turbo before the catalytic
converter. The high exhaust pressure before the turbo interferes with
the lambda measurement and the high exhaust temperatures
encountered there can damage the sensor."

This obviously refers to a front mount turbo and is not possible to do with the STS rear mount.

"Innovate Forum - klattin Administrator
Hi,

The sensor should be mounted after the turbo and, if possible, before the cat. If it has to be mounted after the cat the readings will change. The most change will be at low exhaust flows.

Regards,
Klaus"

Klaus suggests to mount the sensor after the turbo and if possible before the cats and that the greatest change in AFR will be at low exhaust flows. Looks like the sensor is best mounted after the turbo.

I asked the question on the Innovate forum and I will post the reply if I get one.
