Default Sts turbo ?????'s

I am on Bmw forums and we are discussing STS turbos, they are saying its not a real set up and that they have crazy lag blah blah blah. Could some of you with these kits post up your dyno's and when max boost is reached? they say sts is useless because it will only come on at around 5k-6k rpms and wont boost up quick enough. Help me prove them wrong........

They need to stick with beemers. There are a few guys that have STS's on this site and from what ive heard they really like them. "What lag?", will be their response.

do a search for a guy who goes by Casey2323 around here.... He's "published" 10.0's in a full weight leaf spring truck with a sizeable rear mount T6 turbo... I'm positive its gone single digits though.

search up some of his vids and link them... it should get the point across

I went 11.35@118 in a 4500 lb truck. From 20-60 mph street tires were useless for traction with 400-500 lbs of weight in the bed.

ALOT of things seem to play a factor with the rear mount... I have a 2500+ stall... I can footbrake about 2psi @3000 ... and like everyone knows and says Boost is just a measure of "backpressure" in the intake system... My truck has nothing but 3"-4" charge pipes so it takes a ton of air to fill the pipes before it makes pressure.. I have a few dyno videos online and nothing great as far as track passes except a 10.0X pass that was taken at a mustang event.. If you care about under hood heat, Room, size of the turbo....

I was next to an M3 V8 a while back at a redlight. When it turned green I left a little quickly just to screw with him. He got on it and quickly made an abrupt left to get on the service road to the highway. Just as abruptly I turned behind him from the middle lane and got straight in a hurry and nailed it. He was busting gears but I reeled him in instantly and had to slam on my brakes to keep from climbing over his trunk. I was running 8-9 lbs at the time with my 4wd on 20's. In fairness, he did have a really pretty 110 lb or so female with him. (Weight disadvantage cause I was by myself and not a lb over 5100). Damn sts, they just dont work!

I have a 3200 stall and I can get full boost (12psi) @ 3500-3800rpm brake boosting. But its kinda pointless on the street
