STS Turbo on 4.8L
#11
I actually used a rear mount for awhile. I never had a problem spooling/lag. The biggest downfall was the return line, as it was my biggest failure (scared me more than anything). My spool time was very fast, power gains seemed fine, ran 11's in a silvy ss mid 5k lb truck with the rear-mount. I would consider either/or (with proper pre-measures) but for upgrades etc, front mount would be your best bet.
I will add that I believe I had great gains from the mid-mount. When the project first started I did not expect to get passed mid 12's. First track day it went 12.0 on 10lbs with stock block and ls9 cam. Impressive, IMO. I am switching over to front mount, but scared that the setup wont perform the same. Good luck on your choices and do it right the first time....You'll thank yourself later.
