Default STS part throttle boost

Wondering if this is normal or not. Under normal driving conditions at part throttle i don't build any boost, my boost gauge goes up to 0 and you can here the wastegate open and let the boost out.

at WOT its fine but is it suppose to be like that at part throttle?

Yes, if there is no load on the motor it will not build boost.

what im saying here is that i have no boost at all unless i am WOT, there isn't any even at say 3/4 throttle accelerating from a dead stop. Are you saying that is normal?

It doesn't sound normal to me. If I baby it, I go to 0. If I go mid throttle I am well in boost, (at least 10 psi) but I have a manual trans and I run 20+psi on the street. This info may not be helpfull. Sorry, I don't know the response yet with an Automatic.
