Default Sts intercooler size???

I am ready to buy a intercooler. I am going to builld the piping and bracket. I just don't know how big I should go. I have a lq4 and a 60 trim but I may move to a 67. I can fit a 22x12x4 core with alot of fabbing, but a 18x12x3 would be easier. I only want to do this once so lets hear it from the snail experts please.

I have the larger of the 2 and it fits without cutting anything. It keeps the temps about 20 over ambient in stop and go traffic and about 10 over on the highway. The only track data I have was about halfway down the track when I let out. The temp was 12 over ambient. It is tucked up behind the bumper at a 20-30 degree angle.

To hijack my own thread, with a base kit, should I run a hose to the intake from the wastegate instead of the housing? And I can tee off this for my boost gauge reading? Right?

Ever heard of a eci boost controller? There was one in the used kit I bought and I can't find anything about them on the net. Thanks Quicksiverado!

You especially need to reference your wastegate off the intake after you put the IC on.

The port on the side of the WG to (best place) the hose that goes from the pass valve cover to the throttle body.

Yup it will be more accurate measuring boost too, since it is measuring boost at the intake instead of way back at the turbo.
