Default STS - Filter in bed

Well I must be bored and restless....LOL

I drilled a 4" hole in my bed.....

No worries.....not sure how well it will work at WOT but worked fine to work and back home today. The snorkel tubing I cut off the STS kit and is only a foot long or so and I am using my Amsoil 9" dry filter.

One problem I see- most truck beds fill up with water in that area when they sit in the rain. So that water would just run down the intake tube. It is a good concept (wish I could do the same thing), but it needs to be higher off of the floor of the bed.

I'd go higher for sure. as mentioned your gonna get water in it like that.
I think if i go turbo's later i'ma get front mount. I like the concept of Remote mounted, but i'm not afraid to drive thru water thats almost to my bumper. With videos to prove it.

Some areas around here get a lot of high water and Remote mount just wouldn't be the best choice.

Put a shell on the back! That should keep it dry!

i guess that is one of those things, you go to put something in your bed, some one sees a huge filter in the bed, they prolly won't even ask because their head will be so screwed up by it....

Nice work though, wonder how that sounds....
