After my K&N filter got waterlogged during a small rain i decided to rig something since i didnt have but a few spare minutes...
here is what it looks like...
Go ahead and laugh before hand but it works great!!!!

Even if it aint as pretty as the one that comes with the F-body kit... it still works...

Didnt STS think people would drive in the rain....
I am suprised at all these issues are coming up with the remote mount that you would never see with a front mount (water, oiling, etc...

Dude, what is that 1/8" Al? You don't think that's a bit overkill?
Next time use something thicker. HA!
Is that to block the rain between the cab and bed or to prevent the suckage of water off the road?

Heck i dont know..... Dockrocker brought it to me, we made a little switch panel for his Nitrous and Efans and stuff like that and put it on his dash.
And its the only thing i could find to work with..
Its to block the rain from the bed dripping down on the cross member which drops onto the filter and soaks it,,, and it keeps my filter dry... went and found some good water puddles on the road... hit them at 55 and 70 and the filter was dry..
Getting my K&N Filter wrap thing tom. So that should help a little more.

From: Here and sometimes there too.
I thought about building a box for it and sticking it up against the quarter panel in front of the rear tire, then cutting a brake vent in front of my tire (think ferrari's and lambo's) to force feed the air into the box. I'm not sure how it would look but the more I thought about it the more I started to feel like that would be a ricer solution to that problem.
