Well, Atomic Motorsport Concepts has completed the transformation- my 06' Sierra Vmax is now STS turbocharged/Intercooled/Meth injected!
I opted for a few tweaks- wen't with a bypass valve instead of a blow-off, GT-67 Turbo, had the intercooler anodized black to look stock, had several pieces of piping welded together instead of using silicone connectors, etc. etc.
Here is my part list:
STS Kit w/GT-67 Turbo
STS Intercooler
Snow Methanol Injection Kit w/ contoller
Delphi 44lb Injectors
Turbonetics Raptor Bypass Valve
Greddy Profec Type-S Boost Controller
MSD Boost Pump
Nelson ECU Tune
Socal Diesel Gauge Pod
Autometer Z-Series Fuel Pressure/Boost gauges
It's been a longer (and more expensive!) process than I ever imagined, but there is finally light at the end of the tunnel- tomorrow at 3:00PM the truck will be dyno tuned, and I'll be on the road again.
The truck is equipped with the 4L70E which will be beefed up this spring when FLT unveils their new 70-series upgrades.
I honestly don't know what to expect on the dyno tomorrow, and haven't found much info on what an STS LQ9 spits out. Anyone care to guess? I'll post the dyno sheet tomorrow night along with some install/final pics to come shortly after.
