STS decision????

Been having oil pump problem that finally might be fixed, but now I'm beginning to have doubts that something similar might happen in the future. Also can't get over the air cleaner location. I really don't like taking it out in bad weather. ( a personel problem , I know) I was orginally looking at the radix but went with the turbo. Now with the GP at TBYRNE..... should I go with the SC? Been thinking and going back and forth and I can't seem to make my mind up. I don't think anybody's went this way, usually its from SC to turbo so somebody help me out. Thanks in advance Mike

dont discount the system yet. More often than not, the issues that come up are because of the installer. At least get your bugs worked out and see how you like it.
There are several small things you can do that make the system even better. At least give it a fair shake.

When you are ready, give us a call.
Having driven with both systems, I can HONESTLY say I do not like the idea of the air filter being under the car. That being said, I have yet to have any issues with mine....although I have not had any rain here to speak of since it has been running. If you are thinking about a Radix give us a call, there is no need to wait for a "GP" to close to receive service and a great price!

Thanks for the reply's. Seems its been sitting more than out on the road.Talking with STS this last time and they seem to think its the wire thats T'd into the gray fuel pump wire. They said it needs to be soldered. I guess I'll find out this weekend. The problem is no time during the week with work and a long commute to start anything. I just thought the Radix was pretty much trouble free according to most everyone on here so that might be the better option for me. Not that I'm opposed to wrenching but I seem to have less and less time to do it.

Update: soldered the 2 wires together at the fuse box and got rid of the t-connector. While I had the lid to the fuse box off I found my hi-low switch for the oil pump. It was under the fender support bracket. Had it out a little yesterday trying to get my confidence back and thought it was ok. Today, went into town and the buzzer goes off.... again. This time I just put pump on hi from the newly discovered switch. Does anybody, until I can get hold of STS tomarrow, know if keeping it on the high setting will hurt anything?

I had the same problem but first of all...No it won't hurt anything at all actually it's better to run it on High from what I understand. Pump won't overheat or be overworked at all. Your supposed to run it on high for the first 500 miles of the turbo's life anyways. Some people leave it on high just for peace of mind although the noise took some time getting used to it. Also, check your hi/low resistor(I'd take a picture of it but my truck is in the shop), mine blew out the first 2 miles driving the truck and couldn't leave the pump on the low setting and had to leave it on high until STS could send me a replacement. After I got all the bugs out of the system I haven't had any problems with it at all! Hope you keep with it a little longer, I'm sure when the bugs get outta the system you'll really like it!

The buzzer is super sensitive sometimes. Mine always used to ring... There is an adjustment on the hobbs switch connected to the oil pump.

Spoolin... is the resister gold and mounted on the firewall? After the buzzer went off and I turned it on hi I was able to get to town and back with out it going off again. The shop that did the install went out of buisness very very shortly so I was unable to get the "tour" of the system. I was hurried out and told to break it in and then come back and they would check it out.
Turboberserker... I think I"ll leave the buzzer alone, at least that's working. How long do the pumps last for and is there any preventative maint. I should be doing to the system?
Changed the oil yesterday also. Clean oil looks better than dirty oil on my tailgate!
