Default STS boost controller

Has anybody removed the STS electronic boost controller and installed a Greddy or anything similar? Something that is changeable inside the cab is all I'm looking for.

Cool

I am still using the STS Boost Controller and don't have any experience with anything else. Here is a link to Turbosmart and they have a couple of different levels of control and price. It will give you an idea of what you can get in addition to Greddy.
There are some people here using different controllers and hopefully they will give you an idea of their experience with them. There have been some other threads as well and a search might turn up some information as well.

I've owned a turbosmart e-boost with limited results and too many tuning options... bought a Gready prolific-2 simple as hell and has a high low setting with simple gain adjustments.. asa for the STS compatabilty beats me but it can't be that hard. Good luck Doug

Yes, you can use any boost controler you want.

I had the basic STS unit and was switching the the Turbosmart unit. One of my friends has an STS kit with the Trubosmart and it works great and the other has the Profec-B. I don;t think he likes it as much as the other guys Turbosmart though. *shrug*

But yeah, you can chane it to whatever you want.

All you gotta do is get a bunch of vacuum line and relocate the controller/regulator into the cab so that you can adjust it while on the road. The regulator, not the selenoid.
