Default Squires Turibo Systems

I own a 2005 Chevy 1/2 4x4 4.8 V8...Peice of ****!!!! i would never tell anyone to go for the 4.8 save the cash and go with the 5.3...any ways im getting ready to trade my 05 in for either an 06 or an 07...but once i trade in im going to put a STS turbo on it...running a 10 PSI...anyone know what all we should do so that she holds the power with out coming apart...should be about 450 RWHP...Yeah pretty freaking excited about the power i will get out of it...and if anyone wants to go ahead and tell me what you think of the STS turbo system cause i am pretty impressed with what i have seen and heard

If your going to get a new truck, Id look for a 6.0 4l80e combo.

why not just swap the motor? swapping a 5.3L (or even a 6.0L) in your current truck would be alot cheaper than trading in your truck and buying a new one, unless there is something else that you detest about your current truck

I wonder why more people don't do that... those motors aren't that expensive and from what I have read they bolt up to exsisting hardware and transmissions... but then again is the weight issue...

5.3/4.8 weighs the same as a 6L pretty much to the pound.

I didn't know there was that much of a difference between the 4.8 and 5.3. Have you ever run it at the strip stock? I'd love to know the difference.

You will like the set-up, its a pretty straight forward install and you will have a lot of people here willing to respond to questions that come up.
Don't scrimp on the tune, its everything as far as power output and having a safe set-up.
Wish I had a reputable dyno tuner in my area.
