I know you guys get this alot, but I have to know. I have a TR220 .551 112lsa. I put an sts kit on the truck (6-8psi) and it just doesnt feel like Im making the power I want... especially down low. My question is would a 212/218 .550 on 115 help me across the power band or should I go with something else? Im tired of everyone SMOKING me off the line I am stalling at 2400 with a tb converter right now.

How do you know you should be making the power you want?? Up the psi some.. The 212/218 would prob make you feel some difference over the tr220. Turbo cams usually liek to favor the exhaust side with a higher duration. Also with the tighter lsa of the tr220, it might be puking off some boost, how much??? Nobody knows. I don't think it has every been reported(at least i havn't seen it) how much is actually bled off with a tight lsa cam vs a wider lsa cam..

I just figured with the wider lsa it might not leak off as much boost if any like you said but the smaller duration would help me down low wouldn't it

Yes tighter lsa will, as it is causing the intake and exhaust valve to be open at the same time.. As far as duration turbos like to have a little bit more on the exhaust side then intake..

I know I have spent the last hour or two reading. I guess I should have specified what I really wanted to know. How much do you think ill gain and would it be worth the time and money? I don't have an intercooler so as far as turning the boost up Im pretty limited.

I would say get a IC first and try it out. Fist off that would be easier and cheaper then doing a cam swap.. Do it turn up the boost, but make sure whomever is tuning your truck knows what there doing...

Make sure you tell everyone where to get everything you need for the cam swap for under 200 as well....
Since you aparently don't have any money, you should go with a z06 cam and springs. That's going to be your cheapest route. I have the 212/218 on 115 and it responds really well.
The first shortcut you take when your FI will make you regret it.....

a few things:
1.what motor do you have?
2.wouldn't stock manifolds help his set-up?
3.what are the specs on your turbo?
4.turbo lag ?
5.do you have a wideband?
I just got a meth kit from Coolingmist for $200.You need some type of intercooler.
