some 90mm Radix TB conversion..........thoughts
#1
when BlownChevy and I started working on the 90mm Radix conversion last year I was under the impression that it would be something someone might want to do as a final mod to a max'd out or near max'd out setup. From all the interest I've seen regarding this mod, it seems more people are considering this as one of their initial Radix mods instead of a more progressive or final affair. I know BigTex had been working on this mod at about the same time as us as well. I just find it amazing how popular this mod has become, and more importantly, that even in the milder applications there seems to be universal SOTP increases in power. In the midst of all our brainstorming one of our sponsors, Richard from WCCH, stepped up and made a production quality J-Tube conversion piece, not to mention, all the very functional and ingenious "use what you got" conversions "ala Big Tex" and others. I think this will go down as one of the truly beneficial and productive mods for draw through type, positive displacement, super charged applications, and especially for us Radix guys. For Brian and I, this was all a result of an extended conversation we had with Jerry Magnuson, who clued us in on ways to maximize power production and VE with the Radix(MP112). There is still more power to be had btw. And I'm sure at some future point either Brian or myself will finish the maximizing of the current Radix unit with future products. Anyway, this 90mm conversion has literally rocked our little segment of the Hot Rodding world, hell, even the N/A and turbo guys are trying to find ways to incorporate this modification. I'm just glad I was able to be apart of this in some small way. I'm sure in the future this will become one of those "off the shelf" "oh you HAVE to do THIS mod" type of deal. LOL, congrats to us all, Happy Easter and Happy Hot Rodding!

I also want to thank all the people that made this possible. I also want to point out that Richard has truely made this a plug and play setup (tuning to get the most out of it) It is so easy I am sure I have mentioned in past threads that I am not mechanicaly inclined and the only mod I have done myself was a larger intercooler Heat Exchanger and it took me the better part of the day to do it. The conversion was fairly simple I had a few problems but that was just the lack of knowledge. This Mod would probably take someone with mechanical abilities less than 2 hours to do.
So again I would recommend this mod and believe me anyone can do it
