Default Side mount Magnacharger or Powedyne?

Yes I know these two are not well liked but I have been offered both for dirt cheap. Both would be new or very close to it. They would be installed on my 2002 ECSB 5.3 4x4. This would have nothing to do with towing or work, just overall performance, reliability, ease of use and installation. I am open to anyones opinions of tuning and modifications to the superchargers. Ex: "I would use the Powerdyne with a custom tune not a handheld." Please help me out because I am at a lose on which to chose and they wont be available for long. Thanks for the help. I would be in the dark without this site.

get an intercooler if you want to push the side mount, or meth injection.

Hey thanks for the abvice. I ve been doing a little more research and have decided to stick with magnacharger. I dont know if that sidemount will give more gains than the Powerdyne, but the Powerdynes reputation seems too scetchy. For my budget and needs I think the side mount will be just fine. Anyone know what type of plugs I should run with that little blower?

Wasnt really sure. Had heard that you had to replace the original plugs with something different if you used a supercharger. Must be if you have alot of boost? Anyone done a mailorder tune with a sidemount Magnacharger?

Stock plugs from the factory are horrible for our motors. They cause detonation. TR55s

Those are ACDELCO, correct. I was planning on doing a tune up before I installed the supercharger. Should I do wires? What else besides a Corvette servo and Transgo shift kit should I do when I do a tune up?
