Default Shot some Infrared photos of my turbo - interesting maybe?

Not really representative, but merely for reference.

I drove the truck for around 15-20 minutes, came home, shut it off and checked the under-hood temperature after 10 minutes. The turbo was 328 degrees F. Not bad.... I expected a lot warmer...

FWIW,

Anders

PS Shot from the right front quarter panel, straight across the engine bay. The green area southwest of the turbo is the right header. The engine block is peeking through the plastic cover on the right side. The intake side of the turbo is very cool, naturally... If this is of interest to anyone, I'll shoot some more...

Very intresting, do you think you could take a few more, and take identical pics (same angles) without infrared.

Looks like one of those cameras they use to look for heating leaks in houses, shoot it at a wall and look for hot spots. I also saw on Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs a guy shot one at a wall and found a hot spot to locate a hornet's nest since all the bees crammed in there create heat.
