seems like more and more people are hitting the 500rwhp with the MP112 these days

Default seems like more and more people are hitting the 500rwhp with the MP112 these days

granted it's a GTO......................I remember 2+ yrs ago when I first joined up on Tech alot of people doubted it ever making the 500rwhp mark. So why bring it up now? Sort-of a Hot Rodding reality check, I think it's very interesting to see how long it takes to develop repeatable results across the Hot Rodding community even on a very well put together kit. Seemed like only a very few would hit that mark yrs ago and because they weren't messege board commandos very few gave the claims/proof creedance. Nowadays 500rwhp with the MP112 is becoming common-place.

Yep, no setup is ever perfect there is always room for some tweeking and improvement. Dont take that as me knocking the Radix, I am not. Its just one of those things that takes time to find exact combos that fully compliment each other.

I am surprised at how fast the LSx engine are coming around now, unlike 5-7 years ago. It has made it mark on the race, and hot rod community, very quickly I might add, but my hat is off to the good ole 327, 350, 400 SBC, 396, 427, 454, 502, and 572 BBC. The LSx engines have a long way to go before being in the ranks of the SBC or BBC.

I agree but I am almost ready to get rid of all my old stuff and stick with the gen 3 stuff. The 10 head bolts is the downfall/ weak link of the gen 3 small blocks though

yeah, 10 years ago we used to laugh at the SB Fords and them blowing head gaskets with a 150 shot and now look at this crap we have now. The heads flow great and the low webbing and 6 main bolts are nice but the 10 head bolts???WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!! they must have hired some ex ford engineers or something because when I had my block honed they used old SBF torque plates and they said that the head bolt pattern was the same as well as the bore spacing. Damn. that is all I have to say. 2 steps forward and 2 steps back
