SCOL ported blower snout

There's a lot of info missing between Pat saying that he had problems with that throttle and you saying the issues were boost related.
Is your supposition based on his experience, or just your own wishful thinking?

I consulted with Allen Nelson about a recommendation based on his experiences because i had seen mixed reviews based on my research. Allen said he had used NW throttle bodies with success but he had seen some defective units. I have read that people have had greater luck with the “boosted” NW units.

Just to clarify the majority of failures of the NW throttle body were people running boost in excess of 14 psi. This is just through my research of many threads from numerous sites for vettes, gto as well as trucks. Most failures i saw to be around 16-17 psi or greater.

The main problem seems to be anything P59 ecm based when used with the weaker LS3 tb motor. I tried 2 “boosted” NW102’s and they were both the same. If you logged TPS and commanded TPS you could see the blade being sucked closed. Newer ECm’s allow you to tune around it much better but it isn’t fixed. If you watch some blower dyno videos you can see the issues on many setups, they just tune around it.
