Default ?s about log headers.

I plan on building log headers, using 0.06" mild steel for both banks. Should I be concerned about anything, and how long will they last, ball park? And would having them coated help, if so, who?

Thanks.

Over time it will crack. timeline depends on boost, backpressure, etc. If you have a welder easy to fix when it happens. Coating them will stop the rusting but the coating will cook off sooner or later as well.
If you were going with a single log I would try to sale you one, but your doing both.
Year worth of good boost you should be fine, just dont over heat the metal.
I would recommend supporting the turbos weight with some type of bracket to the block, head, something solid on the engine.

What is my best option then, making tube headers?
Also, I'm not a GM.

Thanks.

.060 will crack over time MS or SS... best option is to use Sced 40 pipe and weldals. It's .375 thick and I've never had one crack.
