Looks great bud!

But you still have to press on the end right?

Thats a trick looking RIP pulley !

Now throw it on and have a sweet setup! That 4.8 is gonna be a stout little *** kicker!

the hub is still a press fit. its got a .001 press fit just like how the stock one was. it took me hanging on the handle of a 10 ton arbor press to get it on there so HOPEFULLY it doesnt go anywhere. its going to be a little bit yet before it gets on there because of all the supporting mods i gotta do and really no place to work on it at this time.

i think the 4.8 will be screaming for its life. does anyone know if someone has run a 2.8" pulley on a motor this small? my goals are to have a similar setup to bill but just a 4.8. if this survives a few months blower only its going to get a shot of nitrous on top

Turbogibbs back in the day ran a 3 or 3.1 pulley on his cammed 4.8 with a 112 and about 13#s of boost if I remember. He also broke three pistons later on because of detonation and running high timing.

We have a similar set up for the roush tvs but its only a press on pulley and its a 2.7 made out of aluminum. Haven't bolted it on anything yet so I don't know any numbers yet. Let me know what you think opinions are welcome.

My math says a 2.8" pulley on a tvs1900 will make about 16lbs on a 4.8 with stock size crank pulley...

I'd be scared that it will come off being made out of aluminum
The Neck looks really thin and may crack over time if you do a lot of High RPM pulls.

Also I'd like to see if the belts slips with 2.7.

Good Luck

You did do a good job it looks like.

thats cool you went down the same road i did. looks good. what motor you going on with that 2.7 pulley?

i calculated that out to 16 also but was figuring on some losses from cam. i really dont want anymore then 15 because well.. 15 is prob too much as it is haha.

as far as cracks, my snout is still .3xx thick around the bearing, with the belt pulling down directly over that area i dont think it will cause any problems, im almost more worried about the area where it bolts to the head unit because it has a lot of leverage. if i can swing it id like to make a new tensioner, idler bracket which will have a leg going up to the bottom of the snout for more support. i also want to put a idler just to bottom left of the supercharger pulley so i get more then 180 degrees of wrap on the pulley.

on that note does anyone have a broken hd tensioner? i just want the spring out of it and to see how much tension its under
