i 2nd the plugs. might as well just swap them out to be sure and double check you plug wires. make sure they are clicked on and not burnt anywhere.

I would think that if it was the plugs then it would have some power loss in the higher rpm range too but i could be wrong. found a guy thats gonna hook up a scanner to it monday. hopefully that brings up something that helps.

9 times out of 10 you broke a plug or damaged a wire....just like the others have told you. Not need to hook up a scanner, its going to tell you where the misfire is, and you will still need to check the plugs and wires. Headers do not cause a rough idle.

Your right i did brake a plug which i replaced before i posted the question! Checked the plugs for the FOURTH time as well as the wires. I did notice that the 4 plugs on the passenger side were BLACK (running rich) and the 4 on the driver side look normal. Looks like i have a fuel delivery problem. Mabey a bad fuel regulator?

still sounds like a bad plug or wire. if you have a missfire it will mess with the 02 sensor and cause the fueling to change. a missfire will usualy show lean and cause the computer to add fuel(black plugs).

there are lots of other things it could be but the most likely are the plugs, then the wires. make sure you use a proper spark plug socket and hold onto the head of the socket wrench when you tighten the last little bit, pull up a little as you push down on the handle. try and only put twisting presure on the plug, no presure on the side of it.

if the truck ran fine before the headers, then it should run just fine with them. If it does not, you need to check things in the area of the install.
