Default Recomended Sources of Turbo Information

since I have been ranting much lately in here, Ill give my 2 cents of knowledge

Books:
Maximum Boost, good overall book for ppl that are new to turbos or want to improve a current system

How To Build High-Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8s: Modifying and Tuning Gen III Engines for GM Cars & Pickups A chapter on turbocharging a Silverado with the Wheel to Wheel kit, both a 4.8L and a 6.0L

I know I have been hard on guys, but i just see a lot of room for improvement in some of the setups on here, there not mine and not my money so I guess I will shut up

Throughout the book and the whole build-up Corky Bell does is centered around Aerocharger's VATN turbo. Those turbo's are long gone. There's lots of good rules of thumb in there, but he doesn't discount log manifolds at all. In fact he spoke highly of a V10 log setup in there. Sometimes they're necessary for packaging reasons and for the lack of time to R&D and fab perfect ones. Especially for a production car that leaves the factory with no intensions of two turbos being added on later. Bank's sells kits for GEN 1 SBC's that have cast iron log manifolds that are capable of +1200hp.

Yes log are ok if you are space limited, but by far not the way to go for all out power. Our cast manifolds have made over 1000rwhp on mild SBC's. Their is no question they will work, but the combination has to be built a little different and you can and will see limitations to the setup.
