I think it's a little much to mix that kind of bottom end power with the TT3000 in a 2wd truck where traction is already an issue. I'm sure on a good tire (slick or drag radial) it would be great, but with that 3.90 gear on street tires, if you're 2wd you are gonna have your hands full. As far as the converter alone goes, they're great for daily drivers. I see your somewhat local. You're welcome to either ride in or even drive my truck with the TT3000 before you buy if you'd like. I think a Radix Powered SS AWD with the TT3000 would be idea. Even my truck can be hard on the tires if you don't "drive it off" the line. Let me know about the offer, I'm near Catonsville.

I ran a TT3000 with a 5.3 Radix with ASM headers and a good posi.I thought the TT3000 was perfect. With Drag radials the Tahoe turned a 13.23@102mph,setup like that.

I loved my 5.3 radix/tt3000 in my ecsb silvy. The caltracs helped alot with 2wd issues, but still where a problem. Ofcourse breeze...i just hit the 4wd button. But i thought it was definitely a drivable and happy scenario. Your not too far from badmofo(tim) try his out! However he is on 3.42's....yeh that would be different.
I don't know...if it's not daily, I'd think about a higher stall than 2600. You cammed?

No problem....let me know if you change your mind. I didn't mean to scare you off of it, but just wanted to let you know that your traction problems, and Im sure you have them, are going to get worse. Even tho I have to eaaaassssse it off the line, I still knocked over 4 tenths off of my "motor" only E.T. On nitrous, I never ran it with the stock converter so I can't say. "Slicked up", or as Whitt said on D/R's, you will love it. But on the street its' gonna be a chore to launch. Although I do have a 3.42 rear, right now it's on my winter tires of Escalade wheels and 275/55/17's, which are a good bit shorter and bring my rear ratio to around 3.70 +/- a tad. I saw your truck at Capital in November, but I was busy helping a friend out and didn't get to see it run. Let me know when everyone is going. Hopefully I'll get the new motor in within the next couple weeks.
