Default Radix tune - Trans 1st to 2nd shift soft

Before I installed the Radix on my truck I took it to a Transmission shop
and had a Corvette servo installed, after the servo install the truck shifted
nice and firm.

Next I installed the Radix and there tune supplied with the kit and all seems
good mid Throttle shifts nice and firm, but the WOT 1st to 2nd is no longer
firm as it was it kind of slips into the next gear (soft).

I was wondering if anybody else has seen this, it acts like there's so much more torque with the Radix installed that the 1st to 2nd band just can't apply hard enough for a good firm shift, I'm concerned that it will eat up and burn the band from 1st to 2nd.

BTW, I did ride in some else's Radix power truck and its shifts were the same.

Slamming it into second from first with 400 ft pounds would not be a positive thing!

I am having the exact opposite problem. Mine shifts too hard at low throttle. I have the transgo boost vavle and mtel pistons in. I am very unhappy with my tranny right now. But I am in the process of tuning it to get it right.........

I think you can tune it to do just about anything you want, in my case just takes patience.

I'm not looking for it to slam into second, just a nice firm shift that will reduce band ware and heat, the way it shifts I don't think the tranny is going to last very long.

Default Magnuson Tune?

Are you running the Magnuson tune? If so did you have them include the servo in the calibration? I did and it shifts fine.

Yes I'm running the Magnuson supplied tune.

No I didn't include the servo change so the Calibration is off.

But since the servo change I did notice an increase in the Low to Mid throttle
shifts (firmer) but no change in the WOT shifts they are still soft and slow.

Also I noticed that the shift actually takes place 300rpm to 400rpm after the
set shift points.

I'm begining to wonder if there's a problem with my servo or the install.

I dont think the install is a problem if it is working now. Its all in the tuning. Take a look on the silveradoss boards, there are a couple of good tranny tuning threads there in the PCM section. From my understanding the stock radix tune is fairly mild on the tranny side, as it should be. I think you just need some fine tuning.

Default I Did A Write Up On The Vette Servo Install.

Do a search under my name and read it if you like. IMy install went wrong on the first attempt and I listed my sysmptoms.

I did some data loging of the trans parameters today.
I noticed that the 1-2 shift error is at 6.1 at WOT and 1.7 at mid throttle.
also that the % of TQ Motor line pressure is 38% at WOT, and the TQ motor actual amps is at .100 at WOT , and a calculated Engine TQ of 520 ft/lbs at WOT.

according to the Force Motor table the Current (amps) should be at .063 at 500 ft/lbs.

any thoughts?

Did some more Data loging

the desired Force Motor Amps goes to 0.0 at WOT
the Actual Force Motor Amps goes to .100 at WOT
every where else they match, like at cruise they both will show .700

also the Force Motor duty cycle goes to 8.2% at WOT, and will be in the 30% to 50% range at cruise.

so I whent in and set the last three rows on the right side of the Force Motor table to 0 and nothing changed, it appears that somthing has the actual Force Motor clampped off at .100 and it will not go any lower.

this probaly explains my 6.3 shift error time and the soft 1 to 2 shift at WOT.

Anybody have any thoughts
