Angry Radix troubleshooting

I intalled the radix with a Nelson tune and the engine tries to start but won't continue to run.
Any ideas? Anyone know of a shop in Vegas that can take a look at it for me? I need it repaired ASAP.

Just got it....

sounds to me like you have a bad case of VATS......

Not a Radix problem, more like a tunning issue..put your orig PCM in and program it with the superchips tuner.

Sorry, the truck is a 2002 Avalanche with a 5.3. I'll try the orginal PCM tonight when I get home. Any other things to try if that doesn't work?
I thought the install was very straight forward with very good directions.
Thanks for the help,
Tim

If you are saying that it is fireing then shutting down right after it is more than likely the VATS. You can use your Original PCM if you have the superchips programer to flash it with.

when you install the tune that comes with the radix im sure it will work just fine. i think you should always install it the way it comes before you change anything in case there are any bugs. good luck with it

also it could need an idle relearn. when you crank it see if you can keep it running by giving it a little throttle if you can then it needs the idle relearn. if you cant keep it running then put the stock tune in it. to do the idle relearn crank the truck up and hold your revs to around 1000 for like 30 seconds.

vats is an antitheft feature. there is a ring around your key cylinder and i believe a chip in the key and it senses it and lets you crank the truck up. go to the dealer and get them to cut you just a door key and it will only crank the truck up and it will shut right back off because its not programmed to the truck.
