It shoots to 58 when the key is first in the on position... Then drops to 45 after it tries to start.

Shipped the PCM and the superchips flashpaq to Magnuson yesterday... So I guess I won't know if this is the problem until next week... Good thing it's bike weather here in PA this week.

Thanks for all the help... Tom

It was 58 lbs. until the engine shuts down... Then it is 45lbs. But if I shut it off and cycle the pump again it goes right to 58 again.

PCM came back today and it still does the same thing. After talking with magnuson tech support for quite awhile it was loaded on a roll back and sent to te local Chevy dealer for some tech II diagnosis.

Man I miss my truck...

Weird, well let us know if they find anything out. I'm curious to hear what the problem is.

I think you have the helper fuel pump wired wrong. I wired mine wrong when I did my install and did as you describe.

obviously it happened to you, but what does that mean? Wired so the pump ran backwards?

67Bird, while your PCM is out, take this opportunity to go over every detail of your install, double checking any possible gremlins that may or may not exist
