Default Radix MP112 Timing

What is the average timing that you guys are running with your setups? I think my tuner has me really conservative... He gave me a all supercharger tune and said if I wanted it could handle up to a 55hp wet shot "14* at the beggining of the run and 12* at the end" and gave me a second tune with 2* tanken out for addition of the 75hp shot instead of 55hp. Is he trying to cover his A$$ or is really where it should be?

I read ppl are in the 18* -22*-27* How do I know what to compare mine too?

PS. 11psi before shift.

14 degrees at wot open throttle w/ nitrous should be close with that size of shot. I am running 18 degrees with no nitrous or Meth and that still gets someknock on hot days, long pullls, high IAT's. Get some tuning software and learn about this stuff. You won't regret it. Tuning is half the battle on making the power you want plus having the ability to make changes when you want.

I have read about software but without a dyno how do you know if you are really making gains? How would I know if 16* would be better or worse...If if knocks back it down if it doesnt it is good...ha. I dont have a problem with learning to tune but no one has exactly the same combination to learn from. HPT or EFI Live... maybe for the next project just trying to finish this one.

With a wide band and tuning software you will be able to tune to the edge based on the info you have. You can rent a dyno for just and hour to see what the gains are. Most tuners are going to give you a safe tune just because they have to back it. The best money I spent in the whole deal was the HP tuners. What you learn is amazing!!! Plus you'll be hooked for life on hot rodding fuel injection style.

Nothing set in stone. Myself and I know others tune Total WOT total timing based upon IAT (Intake Air Temp)

IAT dependent I run as much as 21, I've logged entire 1/4 mile passes at that with a 50 shot of nitrous and no knock, to as little as 15*. I also spray 100% methanol at anything above 2psi of boost.
